Sign Boards & Illuminated Signage

Acrylic Sign Board

A flat acrylic panel sign — crisp edges and a premium finish, for businesses that want something sharper-looking than flex without necessarily going fully illuminated.

An acrylic sign board is a solid sheet — usually 3mm to 10mm depending on size and where it's mounted — with your design printed directly onto the surface, painted behind it, or built up as cut letters and logos fixed onto the sheet. Unlike a glow sign box, it isn't necessarily lit from inside; a lot of what we build here is a "day sign" meant to look sharp under normal light, mounted flush to a wall or held slightly off it on standoffs for a shadow-gap look that reads as more expensive than it costs.

Cast acrylic holds colour and clarity better over time than cheaper extruded sheet, and it's what we'd recommend for anything staying outdoors long-term or facing direct sun for years. Extruded is fine for shorter-run or indoor boards where budget matters more than a multi-year UV guarantee.

We also build these as the face for illuminated signs when a client prefers acrylic's cleaner look over flex — so it isn't strictly a non-lit product, it's more that acrylic keeps that option open. We'll walk you through which makes sense once we know the size and the wall it's going on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cast acrylic holds up better to UV and scratching over years outdoors; extruded is cheaper and fine for indoor or short-term use, but yellows and scratches faster. We'll recommend one over the other based on where it's going and how long it needs to last.
