3D Letter Cutting

3D letters are about depth, not a specific material — the letters have real thickness and sit raised off the wall, casting a small shadow that makes them read as far more substantial than a flat printed or cut sign. We build these in whatever material suits the brief: acrylic for a clean modern look, MDF for a painted or laminated finish at a lower cost, ACP for something rigid and weatherproof, or stainless steel where the job calls for a genuinely premium, industrial finish.

The letters are cut and assembled with return edges — the sides of each letter, not just the front face — so they look fully three-dimensional from every angle instead of like a flat cutout propped forward. Depth is usually somewhere between 15mm and 50mm depending on the size of the lettering and how much presence the wall needs; oversized reception signage in a large lobby needs more depth to hold its own than a small boutique storefront does.

These can be lit or unlit. For unlit 3D letters we're mainly solving for shape, material, and finish; add LED and the conversation shifts to face-lit versus halo-lit, which changes how the letters are built internally.
